Base Tables
Base Tables represent the "building blocks" of the JobBOSS2 because they are used to provide details on other Tables and records throughout JobBOSS2, sometimes as a required field. For example, GL Group Codes are required to create GL Accounts and Tax Codes are required to create Customer and Vendor Invoices. As a general rule Base Tables do not require information from any other source though some, such as Collection Terminals and Document Review Codes, can reference other tables in order to help provide more accurate information. The exception to this rule, however, is GL Accounts.
GL Accounts (Table item) can (and should) be associated with several Base Tables to assist with capturing accurate costing information and are required on some Base Tables such as Tax Codes, Work Codes, and Product Codes.
