Inventory; Post Material
Inventory Transfers
Inventory transfers provide the ability to post material to and from jobs using the options available in the Inventory Transfer Navigator Header (see below.) This utility is useful for making "spot adjustments" based on an unexpected need or unused material.
Inventory Transfer Types
The inventory transfer utility has four different options: Stock to Job, Job to Stock, Job to Job, and Edit Bin/Lot. The following links explain the purpose and details of each transfer.

Edits within Inventory Transfers
Unlike most other areas of JobBOSS2, inventory transfers cannot be edited or deleted once completed. To "undo" a transfer, a new transfer would need to be performed to remove / replace material as appropriate.

What Comes Next
There are a couple logical next steps after performing an inventory transfer, depending on the reason for the inventory transfer.
- Move into Production
- If you are using the inventory transfer to allocate material to the job, you are likely ready to start the job. Therefore, you may need to create time tickets or use the scheduling application.
- For more information see Scheduling JobBOSS2.
- For more information see Time Tickets.
- Shipping
- If you transfer material after the job is complete or from a job back to stock, you are likely at the point where you need to ship your product to the customer.
- For more information see Packing Lists.
