Time Tickets

System Location: Data Entry > Shop Floor Control > Time Tickets

Time tickets are used to track work performed internally on jobs entered into JobBOSS2. When used in conjunction with related tables and entered in a timely and accurate manner, time tickets provide the following functions:

  • Capture labor and burden costs for work performed on jobs

    • Labor costs pull from the employee code used on the time ticket

    • Burden costs pull from the work centers used on the time ticket

  • Indicate where jobs are in terms of production as they relate to routed steps

    • 'Current Work Center' is updated as time tickets are created for specific steps on a job

    • The Production Summary is one way to see piece counts turned in against scheduled steps

  • Relieve scheduled load from work centers and allow the Scheduling Whiteboard to provide updated scheduling assumptions

    • The Scheduling Application required for this functionality

    • Information in scheduling is updated as new jobs are created and time tickets are entered against currently scheduled jobs

Time tickets can be created within the Shop Floor Control (SFC) Area or through the use of the Data Collection application; however they can only be edited within SFC.

For more information see Data Collection.

For information about obtaining the Scheduling Application and / or the Data Collection Application, please contact sales at 1-800-525-2143.

  • There can only be one time ticket per employee each day. If you make a separate record rather than a separate line item for one employee on the same day, the system will automatically combine the two records into one record with separate line items.
