Document Control Where Used Section

The Where Used section of Document Control displays all of the places throughout JobBOSS2 where this particular document is attached, whether that be an estimate or a job. This section allows you to link or separate documents from estimates and jobs, as well as edit the links and view the files.

Get File

This button will let you View or Download the selected file.

Edit

This button will take you to the Edit screen of the estimate or job selected in the grid.

Create Link

This button will open a list of estimates or jobs to select from and link the document to the selected estimate / job.

Break Link

This button will break the link between the document and the estimate or job you select from the gird.

Value

This field states the estimate / job number of the item linked to the document.

  • A job number appears on the left side of the header when generating a PDF.
  • A part number appears on the right side of the header when generating a PDF.

Type

This field states whether the line item is an estimate or job.

Revision

This field lists the revision level of the document.

  • The Revision level appears on the left side of the footer when generating a PDF.

Rev Date

This field represents the date the document was last revised.

  • The Revision Date appears on the left side of the footer when generating a PDF.

Description

This field populates with the description from the General section.

File Name

This field populates with the name of the file attached to this document control item.

  • The File Name appears in the center of the page header when generating a PDF.
