Action Buttons
Process / Unprocess (button)
New cash receipts are unprocessed by default, which is what allows the user to add and edit information. Clicking the 'Process' button finalizes the information on the cash receipt, takes you back to the Cash Receipt Navigator, and makes the details unavailable for editing.
- The system automatically processes cash receipts when the user clicks 'OK' to save and close it.
- To make changes to a cash receipt that is in an un-posted period, edit it and click the 'Unprocess' button that will be displayed.

- Cash receipts in posted periods cannot be unprocessed.
- Unprocessing or deleting a receipt that was synced to Commerce Suite from a manual cash receipt does not update Commerce Suite. The system warns you that the balance must be corrected in Commerce Suite. No cancels. Yes continues. Unprocessing also clears the sync link on the receipt.
- Unprocessing a receipt created from a Commerce Suite payment displays this warning: "This cash receipt was created from a Commerce Suite payment. Unprocessing it could cause JobBOSS² and Commerce Suite to be out of sync. Do you wish to proceed?" No leaves the receipt processed. Yes unprocesses it and does not update Commerce Suite until the receipt is processed again or deleted. Processing it again sends the current balance. Deleting it removes the receipt and sends the open balance back to Commerce Suite.
Void/Refund (button)
Use Void/Refund to refund a payment that Commerce Suite created. This button is separate from Issue Refund, which is used for Stripe and NET1 receipts and is still a full refund only.
Void/Refund is available when all of the following are true:
- The receipt type is Commerce Suite, and the receipt has a Commerce Suite payment.
- The receipt is processed, not posted, in an open period, and in your base currency.
- It is applied to one invoice, and that invoice still has an amount paid.
- The customer and the invoice are linked to Commerce Suite, and Commerce Suite is enabled and connected.
For more information see Refund a Commerce Suite Payment.
