Create a Salesmen Code

System Location: Settings > Tables > Salesmen

Salesmen Codes provide the means to store contact and commission related information for your business' sales representatives.

For additional details on the fields covered here, along with information for those that are not, please see Tables > Salesmen in the help file.

  1. Click the Settings button.Settings_Button
  2. Open the Tables dropdown menu.
  3. Select Salesmen.
  4. Click New (located at the top of the page.)

Provide Values

Provide information for the fields listed below at a minimum to take advantage of JobBOSS2's reporting and analysis tools in addition to benefiting from its ability to pass information along from one part of the software to another.

An asterisk [*] indicates a required field.

  1. Provide information as appropriate:
    • *Sales ID: Unique alpha-numeric identifier for the sales representative
    • Name: Provide the full name of the sales representative
    • Comm. GL Account: GL Account commissions provided to the sales representative should be applied to
    • Comm. Percent: Default commission percent applied to sales and cash receipts associated with the sales representative
    • Address and contact information should be entered for reference.
  2. Click 'Save' to save the record.
    1. Use the Save dropdown menu if you want to create a new record or print a report upon saving.
