Create a Tooling Maintenance Code

System Location: Settings > Base Tables > Tooling Maintenance Codes

Tooling Maintenance Codes provides a means to keep track of maintenance previously performed or scheduled to be performed on parts set up as Tooling Items (Saw Blades, Drill Bits, etc.).

1. Click the Settings button.
2. Open the Base Tables dropdown menu.
3. Select Tooling Maintenance Codes.
4. Click New (located at the top of the page.)

Provide Values

Provide information for the fields listed below at a minimum to take advantage of JobBOSS²'s reporting and analysis tools in addition to benefiting from its ability to pass information along from one part of the software to another.

An asterisk [*] indicates a required field.

1. Provide information as appropriate:
   • *Tooling Code: Identifies the nature of the maintenance performed
   • Description: Appears on Tooling Maintenance Code Navigator and various reports for reference
   • Job Number: Can assign a job to track time and costs for internal maintenance
   • Employee: Can assign an employee to identify who performs internal maintenance
   • Vendor: Can assign a vendor to identify who performs external maintenance
   • Cost: Indicates the expected cost of external maintenance
2. Click 'Save' to save and close the record.
   1. Use the Save dropdown menu if you want to create a new record or print a report upon saving.
