System

The System area is where much of the information that impacts the behavior of JobBOSS2 is setup.

Given the sensitive nature and the level of impact these areas can have, it is strongly encouraged to limit access to System options.

Company Maintenance

This area identifies which data source(s) should be used to store and access information related to the use of JobBOSS2 along with providing important information about your own business such as available addresses and related contact details. In addition, Company Maintenance can be configured to provide many default values that can be used when creating new records throughout JobBOSS2.

Document Groups

Document Groups work in conjunction with the Repository Manager to group users together for the purpose of providing access to external files they may need to associate with records created in JobBOSS2 such as parts, quotes, and orders.

User Maintenance

This is where user profiles are created and maintained for people that need to access JobBOSS2 for the purpose creating records.

Mass Update Utility

This utility allows users edit values that would otherwise be un-editable throughout JobBOSS2. A common example for using this tool would be to correct a spelling error on a Customer Code.

Custom Reports

This area is used in conjunction with the Report Designer as way to help manage customized reports.
