Shop Floor Control

The Shop Floor Control (or SFC) Area is used to create and edit time related records, enter miscellaneous costs against jobs, and to provide scheduling assumptions based on routing information and work performed.

Time Tickets

Time tickets are used to track work performed internally on jobs entered into JobBOSS2. When used in conjunction with related tables and entered in a timely / accurate manner, time tickets provide the following functions:

  • Capture labor and burden costs for work performed on jobs
  • Indicate where jobs are in terms of production as they relate to routed steps
  • Relieve scheduled load from work centers and allow the Scheduling Whiteboard to provide updated scheduling assumptions (Scheduling Application required for this functionality.)

Time tickets can be created within the SFC Area or through the use of the Data Collection application; however they can only be edited within SFC.

Time And Attendance

Time and attendance tickets - also referred to as simply attendance tickets - are used to track employee's time for payroll purposes. Like time tickets, attendance tickets can be created directly within the SFC Area or through the use of the Data Collection application, but can only be edited directly in SFC.

Miscellaneous Job Costs

Miscellaneous job costs are used to capture costs against jobs that do not come through any of the "standard" methods such as purchase orders and time tickets.

Scheduling

When available for use, the Scheduling Application provides estimated start and end dates for jobs entered in JobBOSS2 and is updated regularly as time tickets are entered.
