Create a Quote Using Copy Options
System Location: Data Entry > Quoting > Quotations
This topic provides examples on how to create a customer quote using information from other quotes that already exist within the system. Options include:
Copy Quote (Utility)
Copy Line Items

This option shows how to copy an entire quote.
Go to the blue Data Entry button, open the Quoting dropdown menu, and select Quotations .
Select the source quote (the one being copied from) by clicking on it in the Quotations Navigator Grid.Use the search options available if the desired quote is not listed by default.
Click Copy (located at the top of the page.)
Edit the following sections on the destination quote (the new quote being copied to) as appropriate.
General Section
Verify / edit the Quote Number .
Verify / edit the Customer the quote is being created for.Selecting 'Free Form Customer' allows the user to create a quote for someone that is not in the system as a customerRequires related information to be entered manually
Verify / provide information for the following fields:Quote DateDefaults to current date but can be edited Followup Date Expires On (Date)
(OPTIONAL) Click Add to Calendar to add a reminder in Contact Management on the date listed as the 'Followup Date.'
Line Item Section
Verify / edit the items pulled from the source quote.To remove unwanted parts, select the item and click Delete . To edit quantity breaks and related information, select the item and click Details .When finished, click OK to exit the details.
Complete the Quote
Verify / edit the following values in the Header Section :Currency Code Sales ID Terms Code Tax Code Shipping Code
Verify / enter information in the Available Addresses Section .Selecting a Location Code populates the needed information if a Customer Code is used on the quote.
Enter information into Quote Notes (in Notes Section.)Information prints on quote and will pull forward to customer related documents on jobs if the quote is accepted.
Click OK to close and save the quote.
This option shows how to create a new quote by copying items from one or more existing quotes.
Go to the blue Data Entry button, open the Quoting dropdown menu, and select Quotations .
Click New (located at the top of the page.)
General Section
Verify / edit the Quote Number .
Select the Customer the quote is being created for.Selecting 'Free Form Customer' allows the user to create a quote for someone that is not in the system as a customerRequires related information to be entered manually

Line Item Section
Click Copy Line Items .
Select the quote to copy from (the source quote.)Only one source quote can be selected at a time.
Click OK .
Select the Line Items to copy from the source quote.All items present are selected by default, but this can be changed.
Click OK .
Answer Yes to the prompt.Answering No simply leaves the user on the Line Item Selection Screen. Click Close at any time to close the utility without copying any items.
Repeat as many times as needed if there are items on other quotes that should be included on the one being created.
Verify / edit the details of any of the copied items.Select the item and click Details to open the Line Item Details. When finished, click OK to exit the details.
Complete the Quote
Verify / edit the following values in the Header Section :Currency Code Sales ID Terms Code Tax Code Shipping Code
