How to set Triggered Tooling Maintenance

This document explains the purpose and steps of this application in JobBOSS2. There is a breakdown of the concepts and functionality as well as specific instructions for using the application.

About Triggered Tooling Maintenance

Tooling Maintenance can be tracked through the Quality module in JobBOSS2. Tooling Maintenance refers to upkeep of tooling equipment within a work center, such as drill bits and saw blades. In addition, Triggered Tooling Maintenance may also be scheduled so that reoccurring maintenance sessions will always be scheduled on time. Once the parameters are established, tooling maintenance events will be on your calendar at a regular interval.

Creating a Tooling Maintenance Trigger

  1. Go to the blue Data Entry tab, open the Quality dropdown menu, and select Tooling Maintenance.
  2. Click Search.
    1. This will return parts from Inventory that have been coded with the Tooling Product Code.
  3. Select a line item and click Edit.
  4. Click Triggered Maintenance in the upper right corner of the screen.
  5. Click Add Row.
  6. Enter a Period Begin Date.
  7. (OPTIONAL) Enter a Period End Date.
    1. By leaving the Period End Date blank, Tooling Maintenance will continue to automatically schedule based on the threshold settings.
  8. Add To Calendar? will automatically have a check. Remove the check if you do not want this triggered maintenance to appear on the calendar.
  9. Select a Threshold Type.
  10. Enter a Threshold Unit.
  11. Select a Threshold Unit.
  12. Select a Tooling Maintenance Code.
    1. The Description field will automatically populate once a Tooling Maintenance Code is selected.
  13. Select an Employee.
  14. Click Save to save your triggered maintenance and exit out of the page.
