Quality

This document discusses the features and concepts of this application in JobBOSS2. The document explains the fields and buttons as they appear in the software, beginning at the top of the page and working down to the bottom. If you need any additional information on process or implementation, see the Additional Topics links to the right.

About Quality

Quality encompasses Non-Conformances, Corrective Actions, Feedback, Employee Training, Work Center Maintenance, Tooling Maintenance, and Document Control. Corresponding Table Maintenance has been added so that codes can be set for inclusion on each of these forms. Customer/Vendor Returns, Corrective Actions (CARs), Non-Conformances (NC), and Feedback forms all work together.

ClosedNon-Conformance

Users can enter forms for any Non-Conformances (NCs), deviations found in your procedures. Non-Conformances can be found through internal audits or employee Feedback. They can also be tied to Customer or Vendor Returns to provide additional information for the non-conformance issue. There is a corresponding Non-Conformance Summary that recaps any entries made. For more information see Non-Conformance Records.

ClosedCorrective / Preventive Actions

Users can enter forms for any Corrective Active / Preventive Actions (CAPAs), steps taken to remove the causes of an existing Non-Conformity or to make quality improvements. CAPAs can be created in response to internal audits or Customer/Vendor Feedback. They can also be tied to Customer or Vendor Returns to provide additional information for the CAPA. There is a corresponding Corrective Action / Preventive Action Summary that recaps any entries made. For more information see Corrective / Preventive Actions.

ClosedFeedback

Feedback can be used in association with Customer Returns, Vendors, or Employees. Entering a Return Number or Order Number will populate the form. For employees or vendors, these fields will remain blank. They can also be used as stand alone items and completed when requested. In conjunction with a customer, vendor, or employee, use the drop-down arrow to select one. Feedback Codes can be set in Table Maintenance to be included here. There is a corresponding Feedback Summary that recaps any entries made. For more information see Feedback Records.

ClosedEmployee Training

The Employee Training section of the Quality module is used to track all employee training sessions. The system tracks training sessions, schedules future training sessions, and notifies you when it's time to for an employee to participate in training again. For more information see Employee Training.

ClosedWork Center Maintenance

The Work Center Maintenance section of the Quality module is used to track all maintenance related items throughout your work centers. The system tracks past maintenance, schedules future maintenance, and notifies you when it's time to perform maintenance for all work centers in your shop. Maintenance Codes, which are created in Base Tables, are used in Work Center Maintenance to fill in the related information. For more information see Work Center Maintenance.

ClosedTooling Maintenance

Tooling Maintenance can be tracked through the Quality module in JobBOSS2. Tooling Maintenance refers to upkeep of tooling equipment within a work center, such as drill bits and saw blades. The Maintenance codes associated with Tooling Maintenance are set in Table Maintenance and included on the Tooling Maintenance page. It's important to note that employees who will be using the Quality and Contact Management modules must have User IDs associated on their employee code. For more information see Tooling Maintenance.

ClosedDocument Control

Document Control lets you attach, name, and revise documents attached to your parts from one access point. You can set up security on this function, so that only a few select people have the ability to attach documents. Document Control is a key aspect of the ISO certification process, but it may be used by shops that do not wish to seek an ISO certification as well. For more information see Document Control.
