How to Use the Fill Job Requirements From Pieces Good

This document takes you step by step through the use of this application in JobBOSS2. The example scenario uses sample data and portrays a standard use of the application.

It is not recommended that this utility be used with parts that are estimated in partial quantities. Whole figures will be allocated, and you may end up allocating too much material to the job.

Using the Fill Job Requirements From Pieces Good

  1. Go to the blue Data Entry tab, open the Inventory dropdown menu, and select Fill Job Requirements.
  2. Go to the Fill Job Requirements From field and select Pieces Good.
    1. Once you select Pieces Good, a Ticket Date field will appear below.
  3. Select a Ticket Date.
  4. Click Search.
    1. You may enter additional search information to narrow your search.
  5. Select a line item from the grid and click Set Quantities.
  6. (Optional) Select the Bins button or double click anywhere on the grid item to go to the Multiple Bin Quantity Selection screen.
    1. If you have multiple bins, you can change the Qty To Transfer on each line item to pull out the desired amount from each bin.
    2. The total Qty To Transfer from all of the line items must equal the Qty To Post amount on the Transfer All Available Materials screen (Set Quantities screen).
  7. Click OK to exit the Multiple Bin Quantity Selection screen.
  8. Click OK on the Transfer All Available Materials screen to complete the transfer and return to the Fill Job Requirements screen.
